WHAT TO EXPECT
This experiential workshop will teach you how to master your breath and mindset to face the ice bath challenge.
Learn to use cold adaptation techniques to improve focus, reduce stress, enhance mental and physical performance, boost the immune system, increase cold tolerance and uncover the hidden abilities of your physiology.
PROGRAM:
10:30 – 12:00 Breathing and mindset.
You will learn how to:
Optimise your breathing mechanics and general breathing pattern.
Use breathing to achieve deep meditative states.
Practice meditation and breathing to improve focus.
12:00 - 13:00 Cold Physiology and Ice Bath
You will learn how to:
Control the stress response.
Use cold as the ultimate mental training tool.
Use gradual cold exposure to increase cold tolerance.
13:00 - 13:30 Discussion and Q&A
WHAT TO BRING:
Yoga mat
Warm layers and a blanket
Towel
Swimwear
Slippers
Bottle of water
HOW TO PREPARE:
If you are new to cold exposure, end your warm shower with 30-60 seconds of cold water only in the days leading up to the workshop. Begin rinsing your feet, then follow with your legs, arms, abdomen, chest, shoulders and back. Focus on calming down your breath. You don't need to put your head under the cold shower. This way, you will become more familiar with the way your body reacts to the cold.
The goal of the workshop is to share these simple and effective health and performance improvement tools. Everyone can participate to their ability and level of comfort.
